Nobuyuki (Nick) Sato is vice president, strategic planning and market integration for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). In this role, he manages strategic development for product marketing.
Sato joined Mazda Motor Corporation in 1985 and has served in various marketing and sales positions for North American, Japanese and global operations. In 1994 he was appointed senior coordinator, marketing and sales for MNAO. Later, he assumed the role of assistant manager of overseas marketing planning, followed by three years as assistant manager, marketing and sales planning, for the Japanese market.
Prior to his recent move to Mazda North American Operations, Sato served for seven years as general manager of global sales planning, where he was responsible for global sales planning process management and global production allocation.
Born in Yokohama, Japan, Sato graduated from Rikkyo University with a degree in industry relations. He now resides in Irvine, Calif. with his wife and two children.
