NANJING, April 26, 2007 – Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that the joint venture operation, Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. (CFME) in Nanjing has started mass production of the first BZ series engines to be built in China.
Engineered with Mazda's "Soul of a Sports car" signature, CX-9 deftly blends sporty driving spirit with seven-passenger sport-utility vehicle (SUV) practicality. For 2008, CX-9 reaches a higher level of performance with a new standard 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine, resulting in 10 more horsepower (273) and 21 additional lb-ft of torque (270) compared to 2007. HIROSHIMA, JAPAN, July 19, 2007 – Mazda Motor Corporation today announced that it has begun mixed-model production at its Ujina engine plant near Mazda’s headquarters in Hiroshima. The newly redesigned production line now produces both the new 3.7L V6 and the current in-line four-cylinder engines (1.8L-2.3L MZR engines). The 3.7L V6 will be used in the new 2008 CX-9, scheduled to go on sale in North America later this summer.
HIROSHIMA, JAPAN-Mazda Motor Corporation today reached 40 million units of cumulative production in Japan during a commemorative ceremony at its Ujina Plant No. 2 near Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima. Mazda's Representative Director, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, Hisakazu Imaki, together with executive officers and union representatives, looked on as the 40 millionth Mazda - an all-new MAZDA2 - rolled off the production line.
